Charlie's Rods and Customs is owner-operated by Charles (Charlie) Crozier. Charlie grew up in England and travelled to Canada several times throughout his youth, establishing a strong connection to the West Coast of the country. He became a citizen of Canada as an adult and has established his home in Chemainus.

Charlie has worked in a variety of welding and fabrication shops, giving him training in the use of aluminum, steel and stainless steel. Charlie has worked on antique, vintage and modern vehicles, as well as boats. Beyond his automotive and marine experience, Charlie has also worked on custom household projects (e.g., shoe and wine racks, poultry sheds, etc.). Charlie's passion is traditional hot rods and customs (pre-1970s), as evidenced by his own personal vehicle collection that includes a 1941 Ford cab over engine (COE) and 1931 Ford deluxe roadster.
